Without a doubt, Greece is one of my favourite countries. I adore the islands, the cuisine, the quaint towns with the hospitable locals and, of course, the beaches. Furthermore, I feel secure travelling alone in Greece as a woman. Therefore, when friends of mine proposed a holiday in Crete, I instantly said “YES!” and......

The ultimate guide to Sani Resort

30th August 2022 by The Travel Expert

7km of white sandy beaches, a private yacht marina, 27 restaurants and mind-blowing facilities - is Sani Resort Europe’s best family resort? Trying to find a luxury hotel that caters equally for adults and children can be a challenge. I’m tired of hearing the old cliché - ‘if kids are happy then parents are happy’. I know I have used it myself many times, but let’s face it, most kids are happy with a swimming pool and water slides! If I am going to spend a large chunk of my...

Don’t skip Symi, Greece! The Greek Island that will steal your heart

22nd June 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

I leaned against the rail of the small Sebeco ferry as it bounced over the waves of the Aegean Sea away from Rhodes and towards my next destination. It’s the iconic image of the Cyclades islands and one of the most photographed destinations in the world. As such, it’s a very popular place to visit which leads to an important question for travellers headed to Greece: where to stay in Santorini?...

A Santorini itinerary for first-timers: 3-5 days in Santorini, Greece

29th April 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

No visit to the Greek islands is complete without a visit to Santorini, at least for a couple of days. I spent a week here and got to explore different parts of the island during my time. That being said, I know not everyone has that long to spend here but, in my point of view, you should spend at least 3 days in Santorini. It may be small, but there is a lot to see and do and, as I found, part of the charm is being able to relax and just enjoy the atmosphere. Which is why I’ve created this...
