Don’t skip Symi, Greece! The Greek Island that will steal your heart

I leaned against the rail of the small Sebeco ferry as it bounced over the waves of the Aegean Sea away from Rhodes and towards my next destination. Like many of the Greek Islands, this new island looked sparse and rocky. Much of it covered in low, scraggly bushes with a few trees higher up in the hills. I kept my eye on the island as the ferry came closer to a small bay, tucked away around a corner. The ferry veered in and our final destination revealed itself to us. Brightly coloured houses...

A Santorini itinerary for first-timers: 3-5 days in Santorini, Greece

No visit to the Greek islands is complete without a visit to Santorini, at least for a couple of days. I spent a week here and got to explore different parts of the island during my time. That being said, I know not everyone has that long to spend here but, in my point of view, you should spend at least 3 days in Santorini. It may be small, but there is a lot to see and do and, as I found, part of the charm is being able to relax and just enjoy the atmosphere. Which is why I’ve created this...

Luxury hotels in Santorini: Why they are worth the splurge

When it comes to exploring the Greek Islands, Santorini seems to be at the top of everyone’s list, for fairly obvious reasons. This postcard-perfect island is stunning. The white villages perched on the rocky clifftops look like they popped off the pages of a children’s storybook and the vibrant blue domes contrasting against the white buildings are brilliant against a backdrop of the equally blue sea and sky. Santorini is romantic fairytale that everyone wants to, and should, experience...
