What's the weather like in the Algarve in September?
For me, the weather in the Algarve is perfect in September! It’s warm enough to sunbathe during the day – with temperatures around the mid-twenties – but not too hot to do more active things like biking or long walks exploring. I definitely needed a light jacket in the evenings to keep my shoulders warm during my favourite Algarve activity – watching the gorgeous sunsets from the beach.

What should I pack for a holiday to the Algarve in September?
My packing essentials for the Algarve in September are swimwear, sunglasses, and beach dresses. And always remember mosquito repellent – I forgot last time and suffered as a result! Remember that light jacket or jumper for when the temperature drops in the evenings, and I like to have plenty of books to read on relaxing beach days.

What's great about the Algarve in September?
September on the Algarve is a great time for sun-seekers who want a bit of peace and quiet. The busier summer holiday season has ended so it’s not as crowded, which is perfect for me travelling as a wheelchair user. It’s the time to enjoy long, lazy beach front lunches and those stunning evening sunsets.
