How hot is it in Thailand during September?

Expect heat in Thailand during September. The temperature hits about 32℃ during the day, falling away to a balmy 25℃ at night. Of course, the high humidity will make it feel even hotter. The UV index will be high at this time of year, so protection against skin and eye damage is needed. Try to limit exposure between 10am and 4pm. Apply broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every few hours, even if it's cloudy, or more frequently after sweating or swimming, and wear UV-blocking sunglasses too, and bear in mind that bright surfaces, such as sand and water increase UV exposure.

Does it rain in Thailand during September?

On average, there will be 13 rainy days during the month, amounting to 248.9mm in total. That's a lot of rain. For comparison, the wettest months in the UK typically sees between 80mm and 100mm, depending on where you are. Due to the high temperature and humidity, you might expect lots of thunderstorms, however they're actually fairly infrequent at this time of year. On average, September will see just 6 days that produce a storm.

Is it windy in Thailand during September?

You're unlikely to experience any strong winds. Expect a light breeze that picks up slightly at times in September. The high humidity and warm temperature will make the breeze feel warm, so any cooling effect will be limted.

How warm is the sea in Thailand during September?

The water around Thailand reaches a very pleasant 30℃ during September. This is very warm, and will feel bath-like. People who normally feel the cold will find this temperature perfectly acceptable. The hot air temperature and relatively high humidity will mean that you will feel comfortably warm when coming out of the water.

Phu Chi Fa; How to visit Thailand’s BEST sunrise spot!

4th August 2022 by One Step 4ward

I’ve lived in Thailand for a decade (Bangkok to be more specific, click to check out an insiders Bangkok itinerary here), and I had never heard of Phu Chi Fa. Thankfully my Thai fiance finally told me about it recently. I understand that people flock to Thailand for the islands, full-moon parties, and gorgeous temples. Solo travel in Thailand: Tips, thoughts, and what to expect

2nd August 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

After four years of trips to Europe, 2015 was my time to change it up and visit a new continent, starting with a long-time backpacker favourite: Thailand. I was excited to visit, after all, who doesn’t want to go to Thailand. But, I was also a little bit skeptical. Was solo travel in Thailand safe? Was it easy? Or would I hate it? I got a lot of feedback from people telling me I would be OK because I “did Europe first”. They claimed travel in SE Asia, especially solo travel, was...

Why the Ladyboy show in Chaing Mai is a must see

25th July 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

I can still remember the first ladyboy I saw in Thailand. She was beautiful. Her black hair was silky smooth, not a strand out of place. Her makeup was flawless, complete with the perfect winged eye liner that I can never manage get just right. A form fitting white dress hugged her curves and she rocked her high heels with confidence. It was hard to believe that “she” was actually a he. Even now, after seeing dozens of ladyboys, they continue to fascinate me. These beautiful...

Siam Amazing Park - Bangkok’s best theme park?

6th July 2022 by One Step 4ward

Bangkok is an international metropolis full of shopping malls, movie theatres and Starbucks but a (completely nonsense) common complaint about Bangkok is that often there are just too many things to fit into your Bangkok Itinerary. Well, I’m here to make that worse. Siam Amazing Park is a little known (at least to foreigners) theme park in Bangkok. So if you find yourself with a day to spare make your way over to Siam Amazing City, Bangkok’s (and Thailand’s) best theme park. But before...
