How hot is it in India during May?

May is typically the hottest month in India. Expect extreme heat during May, with temperatures hitting 41℃ during the day, falling away to 31℃ at night.The UV index will be very high at this time of year, so you'll need to protect your eyes and skin. Avoid sun exposure between 10am and 4pm where possible. If outdoors, find shade, wear sun-protective clothing, wear UV-blocking sunglasses and generously apply broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every hour or so. Don't be fooled by cloudy skies! Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand will increase UV exposure.

Does it rain in India during May?

The answer is no. India is typically bone dry in May. You're not likely to see a thunderstorm during your trip.

Is it windy in India during May?

You're unlikely to experience any strong winds. Expect a gentle breeze that increases to moderate at times during May. With moderate humidity, any breeze will have a very welcome cooling effect.
