How hot is it in Morocco during June?

The temperature reaches around 33℃ during the daytime in June, falling away to 20℃ at night. The UV index will be high at this time of year, so protection against skin and eye damage is needed. Try to limit exposure between 10am and 4pm. Apply broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every few hours, even if it's cloudy, or more frequently after sweating or swimming, and wear UV-blocking sunglasses too, and bear in mind that bright surfaces, such as sand and water increase UV exposure.

What to wear in Morocco: A Morocco packing list for women

30th August 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

Figuring out what to wear in Morocco was something I stressed out about a lot before I left. I scoured Instagram for inspiration but found everything from outfits with full sleeves and long pant legs to shorts and tank tops and instagram-worthy dresses. Obviously, that didn’t help much....

How to make the most out of 2 days in Fes, Morocco

30th August 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

Fez is the oldest city in Morocco and an absolute must see. With the largest tannery in Africa and a sprawling Medina packed with over 9700 streets, it’s definitely worth exploring for a couple of days. But what should you see and do? Where should you stay? How to spend one day in Casablanca, Morocco

9th August 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

Casablanca was one of the cities that people told me not to bother with when I was planning my trip to Morocco. Of course, it’s also where I found the cheapest flight to. So, of course, I booked the cheapest flight and planned on just spending one day in Casablanca before moving on to a more exciting Moroccan city, Fez. After all that I had been told, I expected to hate Casablanca- but I didn’t. I wouldn’t say I loved it- it’s not a very exciting city, but I’m not as adamant that...

The perfect 3 day Sahara Desert tour in Morocco

9th August 2022 by Eat Sleep Breathe Travel

I gazed out at the sea of golden sand dunes spread in front of me, stretching further than I could see. The ‘Arabian Nights’ song from Aladdin circled through my head as I watched the sun sunk lower, turning the sand into a burnt orange colour as it came closer to disappearing behind a sand dune. Sunset in the Sahara was a pretty magical experience and after spending more than 2 weeks in Morocco, I can easily say that our Sahara Desert tour in Morocco with Get You Guide was easily the...

Marrakech city guide

10th May 2017 by The Daily S'elf

This one has been a long time coming. I’ve felt like the only person that hasn’t visited Marrakech for years now, never mind the fact that I’d never set foot in Morocco, my Dad’s home country, before. Embarrassing. Since the trip, I realised a lot of people I’ve spoken to have put Morocco on the long finger for some reason or another. Turns out I wasn’t the only one who kept meaning to go, but never really got around to it. I had no doubt in my mind I’d love the place and...
