Pisa from Florence. And back in 1 day. Easy! I was on an epic overland trip from Thailand, my new home, to Ireland, my old home. No flights. During which, I tried to visit every country in Europe! I found myself in Florence, Italy but I couldn’t visit Italy without checking out the Leaning Tower of Pisa....

The ‘La Tomatina’ Tomato Festival Spain; Everything to know and how to plan your visit!

TLDR? La Tomatina Festival in Spain is a once-yearly festival in a small town near Valencia (Bunol). For 1 hour in the middle of the day, trucks carry 120 tonnes of tomatoes. 20,000+ people (many of whom are very drunk!) have a giant tomato fight. When the horn sounds, it’s over, and the hoses come to wash the place down. What’s not to love right?!...

Climbing Kilimanjaro; A COMPLETE BEGINNER’S GUIDE

Climbing Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, is perhaps the coolest thing to do when you’re traveling around Tanzania, or East Africa in general. For me, I climbed it the first time when I was doing my epic Cape Town to Cairo overland trip, more than 10 years ago. And if anything, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is an even better experience today. Better equipment, better guides, better tour operators....

Traveling to Syria as a tourist

After I took a group to Iraq recently, next up was Syria. We had an eye-opening, and at times heartbreaking, time in Syria. From the beautiful Damascus to the modern history with what's happened in Homs. Syria was once a tourist hotspot, I hope it can become that way again once more. Since finishing my trip to every country in the world, I started 2 things: 1) MuditaAdventures.com, a company that focuses on grass-roots social-good projects around the world 2) Continuing my...
